Apprenticeship in Hospitality Services
As an apprentice in Hospitality Services, you will work in all departments of the hotel during your apprenticeship. As a generalist, you will master the operational business in all departments and have an overview of everything. After your apprenticeship, you can use the experience you have gained to specialise in your chosen field.
Apprenticeship in Hotel Business Administration
As an apprentice in Hotel Business Administration at Motel One, you will get to know all areas of the hotel, but with a stronger focus on commercial and business management topics. These include accounting, marketing and human resources processes.
Apprenticeship in Hospitality – Focus on Restaurant Service
The apprenticeship in Hospitality with a focus on restaurant service is only two years and has a clear focus on the bar and restaurant areas. You will also work in the kitchen. This apprenticeship is also well suited for apprentices who do not have German as their native language.

Practical phases at the Motel One Group
During your dual study programme at the Motel One Group, you will gain experience in all key areas of hotel operations. Whether front office, reservations, breakfast service, housekeeping or bar – you will learn about the processes in each area first-hand. You will also gain valuable insights into our departments such as sales, marketing, revenue management, accounting and administration.
Study with ISM
You will complete your dual Bachelor of Arts degree in Hotel Management in cooperation with ISM International School of Management. The programme lasts seven semesters. Lectures take place at the Motel One campus in Munich. This is where all Motel One Group students from all over Germany come together several times a year – for around two weeks at a time and for exam week. The exclusive Motel One class guarantees intensive support and promotes personal exchange in a motivating learning environment.
Tuition fees & remuneration
At the Motel One Group, we invest in your future: we cover the full tuition fees at ISM International School of Management – over €30,000. In addition, you will receive a monthly allowance (1st year: €500, 2nd year: €600, from the 3rd year onwards: €700). We will also cover your travel expenses to the theory phases in Munich, as well as accommodation and meals at One Campus. This allows you to concentrate fully on your studies.

Life at One Campus

During your practical phases, One Campus in Munich will become your central place of learning. Several times a year, you will spend two intensive weeks here with your study group – learning, networking and exchanging ideas together in an inspiring atmosphere.

No need to worry about organisation and costs – we take care of everything.

We will of course cover your travel expenses to Munich for the theory phases, as well as accommodation and meals at One Campus.

During your theory phases in Munich, you will receive breakfast, lunch and dinner every day in our campus restaurant – so you can concentrate fully on your studies.

Work & study programme at a glance

Practical phases at the Motel One Group
You will work 20–25 hours per week at one of our hotels in selected European cities. During this time, you will rotate through all key departments of hotel operations – from Front Office and Housekeeping to the Bar. In addition, you will gain insight into our specialist departments such as sales, marketing, revenue management, accounting, and HR.
Studying with ISM
At the same time, you study 100% online at ISM. The virtual campus gives you access to all learning materials, tutorials and opportunities for exchange. After three and a half years, you will graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in Hotel Management, gaining solid expertise in business administration, human resource management, tourism marketing, revenue management and sustainability, as well as AI and project development in the hospitality sector.
Tuition fees and remuneration
At the Motel One Group, we invest directly in your professional future. We cover the entire tuition fee of nearly €30,000 and also support you with a monthly allowance. This way, you can fully concentrate on your studies and practical development.

Internship at the Motel One Group

Would you like to explore the world of hospitality? An internship with the Motel One Group offers exciting insights – whether you're a pupil or a university student. At our hotels in Germany and Austria, you can complete a school placement, orientation internship or trial internship. University students have the opportunity to do a practical semester or a mandatory internship – with remuneration for placements lasting four weeks or more.
