(Assistant) Managers or Regional Managers
Assistant Manager? Resident Manager? Or simply ‘Manager’? Motel One applies hotel management models, as detailed below.
Assistant Managers: At very large locations or in hotels where there is a Regional Manager, Assistant Managers support the hotel management. They are often also department heads, such as Front Office and Reservations Manager. These future executive managers learn a great deal by working closely with the Hotel Managers, and so receive the best possible preparation for later taking on this role. Motel One supports their professional development by providing relevant training courses at the One University and involving them in Future Development Days.
Hotel Managers and Resident Managers: Hotel Managers manage their particular Motel One independently, either alone or supported by an Assistant Manager, depending on the size of the hotel. Resident Managers run their hotel in collaboration with the Regional Manager. They work particularly closely with regard to personnel management and operating figures.
Regional Managers: These run their own Motel One, and are responsible for all other locations in their region. They act as the point of contact for the Hotel Managers and Resident Manager for budget issues and with regard to professional development measures for managers. They also collaborate on strategic projects with the Motel One company management and the team at head office.
